Environmental Impact Data (EID) is a forward-thinking organization dedicated to providing comprehensive GHG analytics data and European Sustainability Reports on environmental impact and sustainability. Our mission is to empower businesses and organizations to make informed decisions that contribute to a sustainable future. We specialize in analyzing environmental data, reporting compliance, identifying sustainability opportunities, and offering data-driven solutions to reduce ecological footprints.
Role Overview
You will be working as a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern from South Korea for a 2-3 months internship. The intern will assist in three key areas: (1) Business Development, (2) Research, and (3) Product Development.
Term of Internship Program: The internship program typically lasts for 2-3 months.
Location: Remote (South Korea)
Application Deadline: This position is part of a global internship program and applications are continuously accepted on a rolling basis. There is no specific deadline to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
(1) Market Research
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and partners in South Korea and other East Asian countries.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
(2) Sales Network Expansion
- Develop and implement strategies to build and expand sales networks across South Korea and other East Asian countries.
- Identify and reach out to potential clients, distributors, and partners.
- Assist in creating marketing materials, presentations, and proposals to support business development efforts.
(3) Partnership Development
- Identify and engage with potential partners, resellers, and local consulting companies that can help expand EID’s reach in South Korea and other East Asian markets.
- Develop and nurture relationships with these partners to promote EID’s services and solutions.
- Collaborate with partners to create joint marketing and business development initiatives.
- Support the creation of partnership agreements and ensure mutual goals and objectives are aligned.
2. Research and Analysis
About EU Taxonomy: The EU Taxonomy is a classification system established by the European Union to define environmentally sustainable economic activities. It aims to guide investors, companies, and policymakers in making sustainable investment decisions, supporting the transition to a low-carbon, resilient, and resource-efficient economy. The EU Taxonomy provides clear criteria for determining whether an activity contributes substantially to environmental objectives, such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable use of water resources, pollution prevention, and protection of biodiversity.
Environmental Impact and Sustainability Research
- Conduct thorough research on environmental impact, sustainability practices, and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Review and update existing research materials focusing on compliance with the EU Taxonomy and European Sustainability Reports.
- Analyze data related to environmental impact and sustainability from various sources.
Data Analysis and Visualization
- Use data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to create insightful and easy-to-understand visual representations of research findings.
- Collaborate with the Research team to develop comprehensive reports and presentations based on the analysis.
Stay Updated
- Keep abreast of the latest developments and regulations related to environmental sustainability and the EU Taxonomy.
- Regularly update research materials and databases with new information and findings.
3. Product Development
(1) Product Design and Implementation
- Assist in designing new products and services that align with EID’s goals and mission.
- Develop detailed plans and timelines for product development and implementation.
(2) Feature Development
- Identify and propose new features to enhance EID’s existing products based on market research and feedback.
- Collaborate with the technical team to oversee the development and integration of new product features.
(3) Frontend Development and AI Training
- Assist in frontend development tasks to improve user interfaces and experiences for EID’s digital products.
- Participate in training AI models to enhance product functionality and data analysis capabilities.
(4) Web/App Development
- Support the development of web and mobile applications that facilitate EID’s data analytics and reporting services.
- Work with the development team to implement new features and ensure smooth functionality.
(5) User Testing and Feedback
- Conduct user testing to gather feedback on new and existing products.
- Analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure the products meet user needs.
(6) Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare documentation and reports on product development progress and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of product development activities and user engagement.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university degree program in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business development, sustainability, and environmental impact.
- Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of frontend development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and AI/machine learning concepts is an advantage Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
